Subaru has unveiled the all-new 2025 Forester Hybrid! This sixth-generation model introduces a hybrid powertrain to the U.S. market for the first time, blending Subaru’s renowned Symmetrical all-wheel-drive capability with enhanced fuel efficiency and modern technology.
Efficiency Meets Performance
At the heart of the 2025 Forester Hybrid is a new series-parallel hybrid system that combines a 2.5-liter flat-four engine with electric motor generators, delivering a total output of 194 horsepower—14 more than the standard gasoline model . This setup achieves an estimated 35 mpg combined fuel economy, representing a 40% improvement in city driving over the non-hybrid version . With a driving range of up to 581 miles on a single tank, the Forester Hybrid is well-suited for both daily commutes and long road trips.
